Six Suspects Wanted After Brutal Beating in Fort Worth Stockyards

Six individuals are wanted by Fort Worth police after a brutal beating left a 34-year-old man severely injured in the city’s historic Stockyards district just days before Christmas.

The violent assault occurred around 2 a.m. on December 23 in the 140 block of East Exchange Avenue, an area typically bustling with tourists and nightlife. According to authorities, the victim was alone when he was set upon by the group of attackers.

“Six versus one. That is not just a fight, that is an assault, an attack,” Fort Worth Police spokesperson Daniel Segura stated.

The victim suffered significant injuries to his head, back, and right shoulder during the assault. Following the attack, the suspects were observed entering a nearby hotel in the 100 block of Exchange Avenue, investigators revealed.

What prompted such violence? Police haven’t specified what led to the confrontation, but Segura emphasized that nothing could justify the severity of the assault.

“We always have a large number of visitors in this whole area and in reality, even if they got into a verbal argument, it does not justify the assault that the victim received,” he said.

The Stockyards, known for its historic cattle district atmosphere and popular entertainment venues, typically draws large crowds, especially during holiday periods. That night was no different.

Authorities are now appealing to the public for any information that might help identify the six suspects. Security footage from the area is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police haven’t released details about the victim’s current condition, though the nature of his injuries suggests he required immediate medical attention.

For frequent visitors to the Stockyards district, this incident raises concerns about safety in what’s considered one of Fort Worth’s premier tourist destinations. Still, police insist this appears to be an isolated incident.

Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities is urged to contact Fort Worth Police immediately. As the investigation continues, the brutal six-against-one odds of the attack remain a troubling reminder of how quickly violence can erupt, even in areas filled with holiday revelers.
