Arango was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on February 12, 2026, near Harold Simmons Hall on the Dallas campus. According to university officials, she was wearing a white shirt and blue sweatpants while carrying a beige tote bag when she disappeared.
The alarm was raised when Arango failed to show up for her 1:00 p.m. class and a scheduled meeting afterward. A family member officially reported her missing at approximately 3:30 p.m. that same day.
