A deadly weekend shooting at a Texas bar has thrust a Honduran man with a criminal history onto the state’s most wanted list, as authorities launch a manhunt following an incident that left two dead and four wounded.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has added Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, 32, to Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List after the September 7 shooting at a bar in Colony Ridge. The violence erupted at Alas Locas Sports Bar, where Liberty County Sheriff’s deputies discovered six victims with gunshot wounds — two of whom later died from their injuries.
Through a flurry of tips from the public, investigators quickly identified Aguilar Cantillano as the suspect. He remains at large.
A History of Trouble
This isn’t Aguilar Cantillano’s first brush with the law. His criminal record in Texas stretches back to 2016 and includes an arrest for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, along with multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated, according to DPS records.
What makes him particularly dangerous? Authorities describe Aguilar Cantillano as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds. He’s known to have connections in both Liberty and Harris counties, including Colony Ridge and Houston — giving him a potentially wide area in which to hide.
The shooting has intensified concerns about public safety in Colony Ridge, a fast-growing community that’s seen its share of headlines in recent years. But for now, the focus remains on bringing the suspect to justice.
Cash Reward Offered
Texas Crime Stoppers isn’t waiting around. They’ve put up a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Aguilar Cantillano’s capture. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous, authorities emphasize, and can be submitted by calling 1-800-252-TIPS, through the DPS website, or even via Facebook.
“We need the public’s help to locate this dangerous individual,” a DPS spokesperson said. “If you see him, do not approach — contact law enforcement immediately.”
The case marks another addition to what has already been an active year for Texas law enforcement. So far in 2025, DPS and other agencies have apprehended 49 fugitives from the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists, including 18 sex offenders and 12 criminal illegal immigrants. These arrests have resulted in $37,000 in rewards being paid for tips that yielded arrests.
For the families of those killed and injured at Alas Locas Sports Bar, however, statistics offer little comfort. As the manhunt continues, they wait for the justice that a capture might bring — while a community remains on edge, knowing a suspected killer walks free.
