A woman in her 30s was fatally shot inside a White Settlement home Tuesday afternoon, marking the second shooting at the same residence in less than a year. Multiple suspects, described as male teens or young adults, fled the scene wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. on the 600 block of Meadow Park Drive, according to White Settlement police. The incident triggered immediate lockdowns at nearby schools and daycares as law enforcement launched a multi-agency response to locate the suspects who were seen running westbound on Wyatt Drive.
History Repeats at Same Address
Eerily familiar? This isn’t the first time gunfire has erupted at this particular home. In June 2025, a 17-year-old girl was shot three times during what authorities described as an illegal vape transaction. She survived.
White Settlement police chief Christopher Cook drew the connection between the incidents. “The victim, a different woman, was shot multiple times. She ended up surviving, and we made an arrest in that case because the suspect accidentally shot himself in the foot as he fled the scene,” Cook told reporters.
In that earlier shooting, 20-year-old Alejandro Carrasco Jr. was arrested after seeking treatment at a nearby urgent care facility. His identification came swiftly after both the victim and a witness pointed authorities in his direction — his self-inflicted foot wound leaving a convenient trail.
Schools Respond with Security Measures
Tuesday’s shooting prompted immediate security protocols at nearby educational facilities. Liberty Elementary and Brewer Middle School were temporarily placed under “Secure” status while police searched for the suspects.
“During a Secure, students and staff are brought into the building, and the outside doors are locked. Inside, school is conducted as usual,” explained White Settlement ISD spokesperson Desiree Coyle in an email obtained by local media.
The response to the shooting was substantial. Fort Worth’s Real-Time Crime Center, Helicopter Aviation Unit, and K-9 teams all joined White Settlement police in the manhunt for the suspects, who were described as wearing black hooded sweatshirts and carrying weapons as they fled.
Authorities haven’t yet revealed whether they believe the two shootings at the same address are connected, but the coincidence has left neighbors wondering what draws violence to this particular home. As the investigation continues, police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
