One person is dead and two others seriously injured after a horrific drunk-driving crash at a Dallas intersection early Saturday morning, when authorities say a speeding pickup truck barreled through a red light.
The fatal collision occurred around 2:15 a.m. on February 1, 2026, at the intersection of Singleton Boulevard and N. Hampton Road in west Dallas, according to police records.
Violent Impact Traps Victims
Investigators at the scene determined that the pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Singleton at high speed when it ran a red light and slammed into a sedan crossing through the intersection on N. Hampton Road. The impact was so severe that emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to extract the victims from the mangled vehicle.
The collision claimed the life of a 33-year-old male passenger in the sedan. Two other occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Their conditions haven’t been released as of Sunday morning.
What happened after the crash? The 31-year-old driver of the pickup truck was arrested at the scene and now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault — felonies that could result in decades behind bars if convicted.
