Dallas-Fort Worth New Year’s Eve 2025: Best Fireworks & Events Guide

Must read

Dallas-Fort Worth is gearing up for a spectacular farewell to 2025, with multiple venues across the metroplex preparing to host tens of thousands of revelers looking to ring in the New Year with a bang — quite literally.

From family-friendly festivities in Fort Worth to a dazzling high-altitude display in downtown Dallas, North Texans won’t lack for options as December 31 approaches. The region’s two signature celebrations are expected to draw massive crowds, with organizers promising their most ambitious productions yet.

Sundance Square: A Full Day of Festivities

In Fort Worth, Sundance Square is bracing for an influx of more than 55,000 people for its New Year’s Eve celebration, which kicks off at 4 p.m. and runs until after midnight. The free event will transform the downtown plaza into an entertainment hub featuring live music across multiple genres, performers, food trucks, and a midnight fireworks display that’s become a tradition for many families in the western half of the metroplex.

Gregory Newman, the event’s director, emphasized the musical diversity planned for the night. “We have a Columbia band, a country band, a salsa band, and we’re bringing out a great R&B and jazz artist from New Orleans, Tanya B. Cannon, to end the night with us,” he told FOX 4 News.

The free admission and early start time make Sundance Square’s celebration particularly appealing to families with young children or those who prefer to celebrate without breaking the bank.

Reunion Tower: A Technicolor Spectacular

Meanwhile, in Dallas, the iconic Reunion Tower will once again serve as the centerpiece for the city’s New Year’s celebration. The tenth edition of Lone Star NYE will feature the tower’s signature “Over the Top” fireworks and drone show, set to launch precisely at 11:59 p.m.

What’s in store for the tens of thousands expected to gather in viewing spots around downtown? Only 5,000 pyrotechnic effects, 259 LED lights, and a fleet of 500 drones choreographed to create what promises to be the most visually striking display in the event’s decade-long history.

Dusti Groskreutz, president of Reunion Tower, hinted at a distinctive theme for this year’s spectacle. “So it’s our most colorful year yet. Each song has the artist’s name as a color or the title of the song has a color in it, so it’ll be very dramatic because it won’t be multicolored throughout, it’ll go from one color to the next, to the next, with a big finish, of course,” she explained in a statement.

The show, which has become a televised tradition across Texas and neighboring states, will be visible from numerous vantage points around downtown Dallas and broadcast to viewers nationwide.

Premium Experiences Atop the Tower

Looking for something more exclusive? The options were there, but you’re out of luck if you waited this long.

The Crown Room at Reunion Tower will host its annual NYE Ball 2026 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., offering gourmet food, cocktails, a live DJ, and unmatched views of the fireworks. At $325++ per person, it wasn’t cheap — but that didn’t stop the event from selling out weeks in advance, according to the venue’s website.

Similarly, Crown Block restaurant, located at Reunion Tower, has completely sold out its premium dinner seatings for New Year’s Eve. The restaurant had offered multi-course meals paired with cocktails and front-row seats to the fireworks display. Those lucky enough to have secured reservations will enjoy what Crown Block describes as “the ultimate New Year’s Eve experience” from one of the most enviable vantage points in the city.

Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly celebration, a dazzling fireworks display, or just somewhere to toast to 2026 with friends, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex seems determined to end 2025 on a high note — about 561 feet high, in the case of Reunion Tower.
