A man was stabbed in the abdomen Wednesday night while simply trying to order food from a food truck in Fort Worth, leaving police searching for answers and the victim hospitalized.
Fort Worth police responded to a stabbing call around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 6800 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard, where they found a man suffering from a stab wound to his abdomen, authorities confirmed.
The victim, whose identity hasn’t been released, was transported to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries remains unknown as of Thursday morning.
What makes this attack particularly unsettling? The seemingly random nature of the incident. The victim was simply ordering food from a truck parked in a lot along Camp Bowie when an unknown man approached him, carried out the attack, and then fled the scene, investigators noted.
Investigation Ongoing
Police have yet to determine a motive for the attack or whether the victim and suspect knew each other before the stabbing. The identity of the assailant also remains unknown, complicating the investigation.
“The victim was getting food from a food truck in the parking lot when an unknown man approached him and carried out the attack before fleeing the scene,” according to details shared by authorities.
This incident adds to growing concerns about public safety in seemingly mundane settings. Food trucks, which have become popular gathering spots across the metro area, typically represent community and casual dining rather than danger.
Fort Worth police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing or who has information about the suspect to contact them immediately. The investigation continues as detectives work to piece together the circumstances that led to the apparently unprovoked attack on an ordinary Wednesday night.
