Fort Worth ISD Investigates Northside High Staff Over Minor Contact Allegations

Must read

Fort Worth ISD has placed a staff member from Northside High School on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate communication with a minor, officials confirmed Wednesday.

The district took immediate action upon learning of the concerns, initiating a joint investigation with the Fort Worth Police Department. Details remain scarce as authorities work through the sensitive case involving a minor.

“The safety of our students remains our top priority, and Fort Worth ISD remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and student safety,” the district stated in an official release.

Law enforcement officials have acknowledged their involvement but are keeping tight-lipped about specifics. “Due to the sensitive nature of this matter and the involvement of a minor, no additional information can be released at this time,” police explained.

Identities Withheld During Investigation

Neither the staff member’s name nor position has been disclosed publicly. It’s also unclear whether the minor involved is a student at Northside High School, as officials maintain confidentiality during the ongoing investigation.

The case emerges during a challenging period for the district. Fort Worth ISD is currently facing broader institutional pressures, including a state takeover due to persistently low campus performance at certain schools.

How will district leadership navigate these compounding challenges? Superintendent Dr. Angélica Ramsey has emphasized transparency as a cornerstone of her approach to both the immediate situation and longer-term district issues.

“As a leader, transparency has always been an important part of my leadership and will continue as we navigate the upcoming processes outlined by TEA,” Ramsey wrote in a message to the district community.

The district has not indicated a timeline for the investigation’s completion or when additional information might be released to the public. Still, officials stress that protocols are being followed to ensure proper handling of the allegations.

“I believe in our district and the transformative work we are doing together as a city to improve academic outcomes for all students in Fort Worth ISD,” Ramsey noted, speaking to the district’s broader mission amid these difficult circumstances.
