A Fort Worth man faces serious charges after allegedly pursuing a woman in his vehicle and firing multiple shots at her car as she tried to flee a violent confrontation late Thursday night.

Jordan Ceralde, 33, has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the harrowing incident that began outside a local motel, authorities confirmed.

The violent episode unfolded around 10:04 p.m. when police received an emergency call from a witness who reported seeing a man assaulting a woman in the 4800 block of North Freeway. According to police, the altercation escalated quickly after beginning outside a motel in the area.

What started as a disturbance soon turned into a dangerous pursuit. After the initial confrontation, the woman apparently attempted to escape in a vehicle, but Ceralde allegedly followed her in his own car and opened fire multiple times, police stated.

Fortunately, responding officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspect before anyone was seriously injured. The exact relationship between Ceralde and the woman hasn’t been officially disclosed by authorities.

Fort Worth has seen several incidents involving gun violence in recent months, raising concerns among community members about public safety. This case represents yet another troubling example of how quickly confrontations can escalate when weapons are involved.

Police haven’t released details about what might have triggered the initial confrontation or how many shots were fired during the chase. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to gather additional evidence and witness statements.

Ceralde remains in custody as he awaits his first court appearance. If convicted, he could face substantial prison time given the serious nature of the charges against him.
