A Fort Worth paramedic faces serious criminal charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a patient during a home healthcare visit, authorities confirmed.
Luke Dickens, 35, turned himself in to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Jail on February 6, 2026, following an investigation into an incident that reportedly occurred on December 30, 2025. The assault allegedly took place in the 500 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Saginaw while Dickens was on duty.
What began as a routine healthcare call has now resulted in aggravated sexual assault charges — a felony that could carry significant prison time if Dickens is convicted.
The victim didn’t immediately report the alleged assault. Saginaw Police only became aware of the allegations on January 13, 2026, roughly two weeks after the incident. Investigators then spent several weeks gathering evidence before securing an arrest warrant.
The Fort Worth Fire Department has placed Dickens on administrative leave while the investigation continues. He’s a relatively new hire, having joined the department in July 2025, just months before the alleged assault.
“The Fort Worth Fire Department takes any and all accusations of this nature seriously. We are working in complete cooperation with the Saginaw Police Department,” the department stated. “A thorough investigation to collect and review the facts and the circumstances of these allegations is being conducted.”
Cases involving first responders accused of abusing their positions of trust often present unique challenges for prosecutors and defense attorneys alike. The charges against Dickens are particularly troubling given that paramedics are entrusted with providing care to people at their most vulnerable moments.
Authorities haven’t released additional details about the alleged victim or the specific circumstances surrounding the incident, likely to protect the individual’s privacy during the ongoing investigation.
Neither Dickens nor his attorney have publicly commented on the charges as of press time.
