The incident unfolded on December 28, 2025, at approximately 9:56 A.M. when officers responded to a residence in the 5300 block of Dunster Drive after family members reported they hadn’t heard from the residents for several days.
Upon entering through the rear door, officers immediately discovered two adults deceased in the living room. The victims were later identified as 73-year-old Leonard Ragan and 72-year-old Jackie Ragan, according to information provided by the McKinney Police Department.
What happened next turned an already tragic scene into a dangerous standoff. While clearing the home, officers encountered 34-year-old Bryce Ragan armed in a bedroom. The confrontation escalated quickly, with two officers firing their weapons and striking Ragan multiple times.
