Rosé & Bruno Mars’ “APT.” Tops Apple Music 2025: Global Chart Winners Unveiled

Must read

Rosé and Bruno Mars’ collaboration “APT.” has claimed the top spot on Apple Music’s 2025 global year-end songs chart, marking a first-time achievement for both artists. The K-pop star and Grammy-winning performer’s hit single dominated streaming globally, cementing its place in this year’s music landscape.

The track didn’t just top charts — it conquered multiple Apple Music metrics, including the Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, Top 100: Global Radio chart, and even the most-read lyrics rankings. This multi-platform dominance underscores the song’s widespread appeal across different listening habits.

Star-Studded Top Five

Behind “APT.” in the global rankings, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” secured the number two position, while Bruno Mars made a second appearance in the top three with “Die With a Smile,” his Lady Gaga collaboration. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” rounded out the top five, according to Apple Music’s year-end data.

2025 proved particularly successful for Kendrick Lamar, whose album “GNX” generated massive engagement. The rapper placed an impressive five songs in Apple Music’s global Top 25, demonstrating both critical acclaim and commercial success across multiple tracks.

“The phenomenal global success of Rosé and Bruno Mars’ ‘APT.’ has been a powerful reminder that great songs will always transcend borders,” Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-head, said in a statement.

Women’s Representation in the Charts

How did female artists fare this year? While the total number of women represented in the Top 100 slightly decreased from 2024’s record of 39 to 36 this year, their presence at the highest echelons actually grew substantially. Seven of the Top 10 songs featured or were performed by women — more than double last year’s representation at the chart’s summit.

Meanwhile, Tyler, the Creator earned Apple Music’s coveted Artist of the Year title for 2025. His album “Chromakopia” generated a staggering 4.5 billion minutes of listening between November 2024 and October 2025. “Tyler continues to prove that anything is possible. His creativity has been incredible all year,” Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, noted in a statement.

Replay Offers Personalized Music Insights

Beyond the global charts, Apple Music has rolled out its annual Replay feature, giving subscribers a comprehensive look at their own listening habits. The personalized tool — Apple’s answer to Spotify Wrapped — reveals detailed stats including total minutes listened, artist discoveries, genre preferences, and even loyalty metrics like longest artist streaks.

For musicians, the feature offers valuable insights into their listenership growth and year-over-year performance, providing data that can inform future creative and business decisions.

The battle between streaming platforms continues to intensify as both Apple Music and Spotify compete for subscriber attention with these personalized year-end features. But for artists like Rosé and Bruno Mars, the real victory lies in creating cross-cultural hits that resonate with listeners around the world — regardless of which platform they call home.
