Southwest Airlines is betting big on Elon Musk’s satellite internet technology, announcing plans to equip over 300 of its aircraft with Starlink WiFi by the end of 2026. The Starlink system promises to deliver dramatically improved performance over current in-flight internet options. Passengers can expect speeds up to 250 Mbps — a significant leap from the 20-150 Mbps typically available on flights with current technology, according to industry reports.
