Texas Teen Camila Mendoza Olmos Missing: Christmas Eve Disappearance Spurs Massive Search

Must read

The search for a missing 19-year-old Texas woman has intensified as family members and volunteers comb through northwest Bexar County after she mysteriously vanished on Christmas Eve morning.

Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen at approximately 6:58 a.m. on December 24, 2025, outside her home in the 11000 block of Caspian Spring. Surveillance footage captured her searching through her vehicle before walking away on foot. She hasn’t been heard from since.

A Mother’s Anguish

Rosario Olmos, Camila’s mother, grew concerned when her daughter didn’t return from what should have been a routine morning walk. “I called her cell phone, but the cell phone was there on the bed and it was turned off,” Rosario explained. “I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together.”

The disappearance has prompted authorities to issue a CLEAR Alert — the Texas notification system designed for missing adults believed to be in immediate danger. Neighbor surveillance footage has become a crucial piece of evidence, capturing Camila’s last known movements just before 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

What began as a family’s holiday has transformed into a nightmare spanning several days. “I only ask God to please bring her back home,” Rosario added. “Bring her back to me.”

Community Mobilizes

The search effort has grown substantially since Camila’s disappearance, with more than 100 people joining family and friends to scour the area. Saturday marked the fourth day of searching, with operations centered at Wildhorse HOA Sports Park near the family’s home in the Wildhorse Subdivision.

Nancy Olmos, Camila’s aunt, has been rallying supporters through social media. “Cami needs us. By the grace of Jesus Christ, we will find you, Cami,” she wrote in an emotional post that has helped gather volunteers.

The community response has been swift. Could this outpouring of support make the difference in locating the missing teen? The family certainly hopes so as each passing hour increases their anxiety.

Reward Offered

Adding momentum to the search, the Youth Peace and Justice Foundation (YPJF), also known as The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, has joined the effort and is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Camila’s safe return.

“Our priority is bringing Camila home to her family,” a representative from the foundation stated. “We are calling on the Central Texas community to mobilize with us. Whether it is joining the physical search today at Wildhorse HOA Park or sharing her photo throughout San Antonio, Waco, Round Rock, and Temple, every effort counts.”

Volunteers have been combing through wooded areas, neighborhoods, and open spaces in northwest Bexar County. The search has been particularly challenging given the holiday timing, but that hasn’t deterred the determined group of family members, friends, and concerned citizens.

As day four of the search concluded without answers, Camila’s family remains steadfast in their determination to find her. Their Christmas wish is simple but profound — to have their daughter and niece back home where she belongs.
