Texas Authorities Release Final Video Footage of Missing 19-Year-Old Last Seen Christmas Eve
A grainy dashcam video now stands as the last confirmed sighting of 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, who seemingly vanished while walking in her Bexar County neighborhood early Christmas Eve morning.
The footage, captured around 6:58 a.m. on December 24, 2025, shows Olmos walking along Wildhorse Parkway wearing a baby blue and black hoodie, matching pajama pants, and white shoes. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar revealed the video was recorded by a neighbor driving to work just blocks from the teen’s home on Caspian Spring.
Family Fears Abduction
“We just have a feeling that someone took her,” Nancy Olmos, Camila’s aunt, told Fox News. Authorities haven’t ruled out this possibility, with Sheriff Salazar noting the teen turned left on Wildhorse Parkway heading north before disappearing.
The sheriff’s office believes Camila may be in imminent danger. “We’re sharing that with you all in hopes that somebody may have collected similar video,” Salazar explained during a Monday news briefing. “To this point, really, this was the best direction of flight that we were able to develop.”
What makes the disappearance particularly baffling? Family members say Camila disliked being outdoors, making her early morning walk unusual. Her cousin, Destiny Mendoza, recalled their last conversation on December 23 as completely normal. “Everything was completely normal, it was just, ‘Oh I love you I’ll talk to you after the gym,'” Destiny recounted.
Multiple Theories Under Investigation
Sheriff Salazar isn’t limiting the investigation to a single theory. “We’ve got to consider all possibilities, from disappearing willfully to the possibility of self-harm, to somebody may have taken her,” he stated. “Maybe, after this video, somebody may have taken her.”
The sheriff mentioned that Camila had experienced bouts of depression in the past, something he characterized as common among young people. Still, family members have been quick to dismiss certain rumors circulating online.
Nancy Olmos specifically addressed speculation about Camila’s ex-boyfriend, noting that the couple had split on good terms and that their families remain close. This public clarification comes as social media sleuths have begun formulating their own theories about the case.
In a December 30 interview with NewsNation, Sheriff Salazar discussed the massive search operation that continues in the area where Camila was last seen. The teen reportedly left home for what should have been a routine neighborhood walk.
Community Assistance Needed
As the investigation enters its critical phase, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is urging local residents and anyone who may have been driving in the area to come forward with information. Tips can be submitted via phone at 210-335-6000 or by email at [email protected], according to officials.
For now, the dashcam footage remains the last breadcrumb in a disappearance that has left a family desperate for answers during what should have been a time of holiday celebration. As the search continues, that brief glimpse of a young woman in blue pajamas walking along a suburban Texas street has become the focal point of a community’s concern and a family’s anguish.
