Loloi to Invest $48M in Massive Ennis, Texas Distribution Center, Create 380+ Jobs

Dallas-based home furnishings company Loloi, Inc. is set to build a massive distribution center in Ennis, Texas, bringing hundreds of jobs and millions in investment to the region, Governor Greg Abbott announced this week.

The new facility will span more than 1 million square feet and create over 380 new jobs while generating a capital investment of $20 million. The project comes with substantial state support — a Texas Enterprise Fund grant of $2,451,000, plus a $45,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.

“Texas is where the crossroads of hard work and opportunity lead to success,” said Governor Abbott in a statement celebrating the expansion.

Family Business Deepens Texas Roots

Founded in 2003, Loloi has built its reputation as a family-owned wholesale producer and distributor of designer rugs, pillows, and throws. The company has gradually expanded its product range to include wall art and other home furnishing categories, with multiple showrooms across the country.

For Loloi’s leadership, the Ennis facility represents a continuation of their Texas story. “Texas has been our home since we started Loloi more than 20 years ago, and the state continues to provide opportunities to grow,” said company Founder and President Amir Loloi.

But the investment appears to be significantly larger than initially reported. While the governor’s office cited a $20 million capital investment, separate sources indicate Loloi plans to invest over $48 million to build the 1,007,977-square-foot facility.

Local Impact

What does this mean for Ennis? The city’s leadership views the project as a major economic win.

“The City of Ennis is honored to welcome Loloi, Inc. as they expand their operations here in our community,” said Ennis Mayor Kameron Raburn, who praised the investment for bringing new jobs and economic growth to the area.

The facility will be strategically located near US Highway 287 and FM 1183, according to records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction appears to be moving forward quickly, with working plans already filed.

Miriam Castillo, Director of the Ennis Economic Development Corporation, framed the development as the result of years of groundwork. “This announcement reflects the cumulative work that has gone into creating opportunity in Ennis through partnerships and long-term vision,” she said.

Timeline and State Support

The distribution center is expected to be operational by May 2026, giving local officials nearly two years to prepare for the influx of jobs and activity.

Texas officials have increasingly used the Enterprise Fund to secure major business expansions across the state. The $2.45 million grant to Loloi represents another example of the state’s aggressive approach to economic development.

The additional $45,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus highlights the state’s effort to incentivize the hiring of military veterans, though specific hiring targets for veterans weren’t detailed in the announcement.

For Loloi, a company that started as a rug distributor and has expanded into various home décor categories, the new facility represents both a logistical upgrade and a statement about their long-term commitment to Texas manufacturing and distribution — a commitment that’s now measured in millions of square feet.
